In den meisten Discos ist erst zu einer Uhrzeit richtig Stimmung, wenn Jugendliche mit einer Behinderung dies nicht mehr nutzen können. Um auch jungen Menschen aus dem betreuten Wohnen und aus Wohnheimen die Möglichkeit zu geben, sich auch außerhalb ihres gewohnten Wohnumfelds zu treffen, neue Leute kennen zu lernen und bei fetziger Musik zu tanzen und Spaß zu haben, laden wir  zur Integrativen Disco ein.

DAN WEBB AND THE SPIDERS

In the summer of 2009, Dan Webb recorded an album of songs he had written over the past few years. In two days he tracked all the vocals, guitars, bass, and drums for the nine songs that would become the debut album for Dan Webb and the Spiders. He assembled a group of friends to learn the songs and play a one-off CD release show. This first show led to another which led to another and soon the Spiders were operating as a full-time project. Before long they began working on material for a second album, this one to be recorded as a full band.

This record would be 2010's Oh Sure, which brought the band out on the road for the first time. The Spiders played the East Coast and Midwest of the US with movers & shakers in April of 2010, hitting cities like Cincinnati, Chicago and Brooklyn. Critical acclaim in magazines like Maximum Rocknroll and Razorcake of Bremen, Germany. 

 In March of 2011, Gunner Records released Much Obliged, the Spiders' third full-length. This record brought the band to Europe for the first time on a three week trek through Germany, Austria and the UK. As a follow-up, Gunner records decided to re-release Oh Sure for Europe. The Spiders reunited with Engineer Mike Vera to record 4 new bonus tracks to appear on the European pressing. The Spiders will tour Europe for the second time in March of 2012 in support of this new release.

Warum Café Karoshi?

Das Wort Karōshi kommt aus Japan, es bedeutet ungefähr „Tod durch Überarbeiten“ und ist eine verbreitete Todesursache in der Arbeitswelt des modernen Japan. Karōshi steht für uns stellvertretend für diese Gesellschaft, in der unsere Interessen nichts zählen, in der die Menschen im Extremfall arbeiten müssen, bis sie tot umfallen.

Mit unserem Cafe wollen wir einen Freiraum gegen die alltäglichen Zumutungen schaffen, die wir in unserem Alltag, an Schule, Betrieb, Uni oder sonstwo erleben. Außer einer netten Atmosphäre und bezahlbaren Getränken wollen wir politische Filme gucken, Vorträge anbieten und über die Themen auch gemeinsam diskutieren.
Denn das Cafe Karoshi soll nicht dazu dienen, nach einem netten Wochenende die Scheiße um uns herum wieder besser zu ertragen zu können. Sondern es soll Perspektiven zeigen, sich gemeinsam gegen Kapitalismus, Umweltzerstörung, Nazis, Sexisten und was uns sonst das Leben vermiest, zu wehren.

ASSASSINS OF GOD

appeared suddenly out of nowhere, released three albums, & disappeared without really ever causing a great stir. They played the first Lolapalooza & toured Europe often.Of their three discs, Black Tongue Speaks, Vol I is without a doubt their masterpiece. It is characterized by a dark atmosphere on songs like “I am My Disease” & “The Hate Song”, also by restless, hysterical guitar & fantastic bass runs. There are walls of sound & noise that go on to develop into the most beautiful melodies & riffs. It is hard to explain their music & I’ve never heard another band like them. They were occasionally classified as “Jazzcore”. Personally I feel they don’t fit into any category.

The members of AOG: Ken Kearney (guitar & vocals); Ellen Schoenwetter (bass); & Bruce Ducheneaux (drums) are part of the incestuous art/musick scene in San Francisco.

Ken Kearney appears with the Mutants on Forensic Report. Lately Ken has been playing more straight ahead jazz backing Tracy Sirota & in his own Ken Kearney Quartet. Ken Kearney early on played in the Atones with Mark Weinstein of MX-80 Sound (& Amoeba Records owner). MX-80 Sound were one of those bands ahead of their time, influencing bands such as Sonic Youth, the Swans & Live Skull among others. MX-80 played rather dissonant, discordant heavy-rock. Their main influences seem to be Ca

...Appearing straight out the fuck of nowhere, Kicker are an Oakland-based punk super group, which is to say the least, an understatement.
